Kirk Leslie's CAN 37 "Prowler" won P1 fleet of the 2011 Whidbey Island Race Week, followed by another FT10, Tiger Lily. Kirk's reports that:
"We saw everything from 4-22 knts of breeze in flat water conditions. Penn Cove offers "staduim racing" with lots of current and wind shifts while we sailed against one other Tiger, 2 Farr 30's, 1 Hendo and a J 90. All boats seem to have similar speed with the Tigers but we had a little more point in 8-10. It was very educational sailing downhill with the Farrs as they just poled back and pointed at the mark when ever the breeze was up. Made us very attentive to our angles and boat speed. Tuesday was the big breeze day and my main trimmer work his ass off up hill. We managed to hold our own with the others even though it's not our ideal conditions."
