David Turton's AUS53 "Likatiger" was the 8th boat to finish the 5th Club Marine Brisbane to Keppel Tropical Yacht Race, correcting to 5th PHS overall. B2K is the signature offshore yachting event for the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron. The 348 nautical mile race starts on Friday 5th August at 12 noon just east of Green Island on Brisbane's beautiful Moreton Bay. The yachts race along the shorelines of the world famous Fraser Island before crossing the Tropic of Capricorn bound for Keppel Bay Marina. FT10 "Likatiger" was launched August 2007 and since then has sailed regularly with the Mooloolaba Yacht club. Highlights to date have been winning the MYC Club Championship trophy 08/09 season, winning performance handicap division of the very windy 2009 Surf to City race and winning div 2 PHRF in this years Gladstone Race.   |
